By far the best grilled chicken shop in Birmingham, better than Pepes, Merigos. Food was received piping hot and flavour was amazing. Chicken was sauced properly unlike most grilled chicken shops. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Staff were friendly and the store was extremely clean.
Ordered a Grande chicken burger meal extra hot (go large) and to be honest everything was over expectations. When I got to the counter the till operator stepped forward to take my order in a very polite way. I waited only a few minutes until i got served. Burger was flavourful, chicken slice was fresh and thick, sauce was just enough, bun was soft. Portion of fries was even too much . I got a couple of extra sauce for no extra charge. Love the place as not only the food is amazing but so clean and that really makes the difference. Worth a visit, will definitely be back. Thank you so much guys for giving me a 10/10 service.
Lovely food, excellent customer service especially from owner himself, made us feel welcome.. gave us complimentary delicious wings. Blue drink was really nice too.

Amazing service today. Can not fault my Visit. The food was on point and if anything better then I expected. Iv visited many other Rio's store but this was the far most best one I had come to. I would say it is very much family orientated place and all are welcome. I visited with family, so no issues there. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming to the store. Was greeted by an amazing young Man in the name of Ibrahim. Big smile and ready to serve. Ended up getting served by another young man called Bash. He was very attentive and made a few suggestions and I will be honest, normally I don't bother as its a sales thing but the choices we went for, we could not fault. My boy likes his BBQ wings and Bash sorted this out. Don't think it was on the menu but he made it happen. Went that extra mile. Really appreciate it. As we seated, our food was bought out promptly, didn't feel we was there for long. So service there was on point. A lovely gentlemen called Aslam kindly bought it over. He even checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was OK. The store had other customers there and I don't feel we got treated any different, as all had the same service. The store was very clean and well presented. Normally the toilets is where places lose points, but this store had really nice toilet and was very clean. The food we had was mouthwatering and the chicken was just cooked the way we asked for. The panini was a rather large portion then expected. Loved everything about the food. I would highly recommend the panini and the strips. The chicken was really juicy and not like some of the other places where its presented hard bolied. The chicken pulled away nice. Wings was a bonus. We ended up being here for about 1hr 10 mins and it felt a nice atmosphere. There is lively music in the background and this just complimented our experience and stay. Thank you to all in making our experience amazing and we will be visiting this place every week moving forward.
Had a meal from here before and it did not disappoint, peri peri grilled or even the spicy fried chicken burger , everything was full of flavour, cooked very well, tasted brilliant and the way the burger was wrapped made you feel like it was made with care! I would definitely recommend trying Rio's. The staff were all friendly AND one thing to mention is that ALL THE STAFF ARE LEVEL 2 HYGIENE TRAINED , and the certificates are visible on the wall near the counter if you order in the shop. The shop itself is nice and there are places to sit should you have a group or just visit on your own, one thing to note is that your clothes may smell a little after visiting as the shop can be a little smokey due to the cooking but that shouldn't put you off coming! I will definitely be eating here again and would again DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TRYING RIO'S Side note: I only told the staff I will be leaving my review once I had received my food, and this review is my honest thoughts on this shop!

It’s clear this is a fast-food place that values its customers and puts effort into delivering quality. Now, I also noticed some of the reviews this place has received, and honestly, they’re laughable. It seems some people go out of their way to complain about trivial issues or post unreasonably harsh feedback. Let’s be real, this place delivers exactly what it promises: great food, fast service, and a clean, welcoming environment. To those writing negative reviews for minor issues, maybe take a moment to reflect on your harsh and laughable reviews. We live in a world where we can’t wait to put a bad review just because we had a small issue – when you say staff are rude (I have never experienced that at Rios Sheldon) – how good is your attitude towards the staff in the first place – we treat workers like ‘dirt’ and then expect flowers in return – bloody hypocrites. We leave food and trays/plates on table and expect the staff to clean as if you are dining in a top restaurant – if a person doesn’t have the decency to pick up his/her rubbish and put that in the bin – one thinks, how do you eat at home then? This team works hard, and they deserve credit for the effort they put in. I’ll definitely be coming back.
